-- Chesed Opportunity

Many in this community with children have personally benefited from a young woman who is silently suffering through medical difficulties that have afflicted her with pain while simultaneously exhausting her resources (despite working full-time job and receiving financial aid from her parents). Through nine months of treatment and tests, her doctors have not figured out what is ailing her and how to treat it. She has already negotiated repayment to medical providers, and is now reluctantly seeking community support. Those who would like to join in the mitzvah of tzedakah can make a tax-deductible donation to THE TZEDAKAH FUND and send it to Gil Weinreich at 1517 Edris Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90035.

IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THIS CHECK GOES TO THE RIGHT PERSON PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO "AISH HATORAH" OR TO THE "AISH TZEDAKAH FUND" AND DO NOT SEND THE CHECK TO THE AISH OFFICE.

Thank you!

Community Alert and Safety Meeting

A COMMUNITY ALERT - SHABBAT MUGGINGS

(From YICC) Dear Friends,
Please forward this to your neighbors and anyone else you think would find this information useful. While this may not have happened in your neighborhood, it is much too close for comfort.

As reported: We just heard from our friend who was mugged on Friday night on La Cienega and Pico. He lives in Crestview. Two other men were accosted, with their children present, as well in the past month.

The perpetrators in all three incidents were black gang members. Which gang, he could not identify. In one incident, the man faced his assailant, in another he was grabbed by men in a car and frisked for money. In this person's case, he was attacked and beaten in front of his son (we have subsequently verified that this man who davens at Chabad of Beverlywood was taken to Kaiser's ER and needed 15 stitches). All three were religious Jews who carry no money on Shabbat.

PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS AND KEEP SAFE!

For anyone living in the Pico Robertson Area: Noah Muhlstein is hosting a Neighborhood Watch meeting at his apartment January 5th at 7:00pm Senior Lead Officer Gonzalaz and Field Deputy David Giron from Council Member Paul Korezt's office ( District 5 ) will be speaking about crime trends in the area, and how we can better protect our homes, ourselves and our families. Come support the neighborhood either by calling Noah at 323-413-7104 or emailing werowatch@gmail.com
