MATANOS L’EVYONIM:

Every Purim, Rebbitzen Dina Weinberg from Eyhat distributes gifts to poor families and students in Yerushalayim. Your tax deductible check may be made out to Aish HaTorah, marked Purim gift, and slipped under the front door of the Aish Office by sunset on Purim day, and it will be given out on Purim by Rebbitzen Weinberg to the poor in Yerushalayim in order to fulfill the mitzvah of matanos l’evyonim.

(Checks can also be mailed into the Aish office, 1417 S. Doheny Drive, LA, CA 90035, as long as they will arrive before Purim)

Dear Community,

With profound sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Yosef Tendler, the brother of Rabbi Sholom Tendler.

Rabbi Tendler will be sitting shiva for his brother in Baltimore from Thursday 2/9/12 until Monday morning 2/13.

The address where he'll be sitting in Baltimore is 403 Yeshiva Lane.

Rabbi Tendler will be returning to Los Angeles on Monday afternoon 2/13. He will be sitting shiva in his house at 1451 S. Cardiff Ave. from late afternoon Monday 2/13/12 until Wednesday 2/15/12 morning.

Monday 2/13 - Mincha / Maariv at 5:20 PM

Dear Community,

I regret to inform you about the passing of Sharon Asher, Seindel Faiga bat Nachman, mother of Aviv Kleinman.

The Memorial Service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7 at Beth Jacob Congregation, 9030 W. Olympic Blvd., Beverly Hills.  The levaya will proceed from there to LAX.
Burial will be at Eretz Ha Chaim near Beit Shemesh on at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

Sharon's mother Bernice Lifsitz and Sharon's siblings Robert Linden, Linda Haim and Joyce Black will sit shiva at the family home, 810 N. Citrus Avenue, Los Angeles 90036 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Shiva minyan schedule will be as follows:
Shacharis on Thursday and Sunday mornings: 8:00 a.m.
Shacharis on Friday, Monday and Tuesday mornings:  7:30 a.m.
Mincha and Maariv on Thursday, Sunday and Monday:  5:10 p.m.

Burial expenses have all been raised, Baruch HaShem, but donations may still be made to the "Beth Jacob Charity Fund" with "In memory of Sharon Asher" in the memo section, to help Aviv start life on his own.
